First African Kanisa Apartments

Originally built in 1948 as the Douglass school, the building was converted into the First African Kanisa Apartments in 1999.  As a result, several one-bedroom floor plans exist.  The building is equipped with elevators for easier accessibility as well as new washer and dryers in the community laundry facility.  First African is located only minutes way from the heart of downtown Lexington and is extremely affordable.
