Ashland Terrace has served Lexington, Kentucky as a nonprofit community for over one hundred and fifty years, providing reasonably priced housing and meals for independent women over sixty five.

Located in a quiet, historic neighborhood of Chevy Chase, the Ashland Terrace environment is secure and friendly, offering flower and vegetable gardens and a Koi pond. The building is within a walking distance of shopping and a bus line.

Ashland Terrace completed a major renovation in 2000, creating fifteen additional rooms and many new amenities including a second floor balcony, an open-air enclosed terrace and fifty-foot veranda, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy the outdoors in a charming neighborhood.

With rooms for thirty-five residents, Ashland Terrace is small enough to insure individual attention, yet large enough to provide diversity. The home encourages activities and involvement in every aspect of the community, and provides each resident with a range of resources tailored to her needs.
