The nursing home said she would be in a wheel chair for the rest of her life because she didn’t have the will to walk again. Garden Place Millstadt (DMP) Senior Care

Garden Place specializes in providing individual services to it's clients.  There is no age restriction for apartments at Millstadt or Red Bud or for Extended Services or Adult Day Care.  Columbia Garden Place is licensed as sheltered care and those regulations require that residents be at least 55 years of age.

 

The services provided by Garden Place are not medical.  They can be provided in the apartments or in the clients home and include but are not limited to:

 

Light Housekeeping                Laundry & Line Services

Stand by for bathing                Shopping

Transportation                        Medication Reminders

Run Errands                            Sitters

Meal Preparation                    Companionship & Conversation

            Entertainment & Hobbies (plant or pet care assistance)

  Activities to Promote Maintenance of Independence & Combat Depression

 

Every client is evaluated by a nurse manager initially and on an ongoing basis to help decide what services can be provided.

 

Families are welcomed and encouraged to continue to be a central part of our client's lives.

 

Garden Place facilities have been designed and built to keep clients independent.  They are amazingly user friendly.

 

Staff at Garden Place, both in the facilities and for Extended Services are thoroughly researched and trained, including first aid training and CPR certification.  Criminal background checks are done as well as drug screens.  They are also bonded.

  • Studio, One bedroom and Two bedroom apartments include:

  • Certified Attedant on duty 24hr/day
  • All utilities except phone/internet and Cable TV included
  • Three meals daily

  • Scheduled transportation for local shopping etc. included

  • Scheduled activities and social gatherings
  • Emergency call system monitored on-site 24 hours per day
  • Scheduled use of privatie kitchen/dining room for personal gatherings
  • Access to TV, craft & exercise areas, common dining room & sitting areas
  • Assistance in setting and meeting personal goals to reamain independent and active
